Hubcaps on the Mmoon

When exploring ideas to decorate the walls at the Mmoon, we turned to a local artist for inspiration. We wanted art that would tell a story and that would fit into our overall décor. The combination of these ideas evolved into artwork created from hubcaps that were found on the side of the road.

Hubcaps, by nature, have somewhat of a celestial design and if they could talk, they might tell tales of places they’ve visited, weather they’ve endured, close encounters with curbs and cars experienced along the way, and perhaps how they ultimately landed at the Mmoon.

Hubcap art is not only about wall decoration or aesthetic appeal, it’s also about making people aware that everyday objects around us can be recycled and used in a positive way. The once lost hubcaps now have a home at the Mmoon to tell a small part of a big story.
